Where to eat in Krakow? Our favorite places we keep coming back to
Kraków is a city that can be explored not only through monuments, museums, and atmospheric streets but also through food. Over the years of Tyzenhauz's operation, we have visited many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and bars. Some we visit regularly, others we have discovered recently, but all share one thing – they have something special about them.
This is not a ranking or a list of the "trendiest places." It's simply a collection of venues we like and gladly recommend to our guests.
Importantly – this list is constantly updated. The Kraków gastronomic scene is continuously evolving, new places are opening, and we regularly discover more gems. When we find something worth recommending, we add it here.
And if you visited Kraków and came across a place that you think should be on this list – be sure to let us know. We would love to hear your recommendations.
For Breakfast
Ranny Ptaszek
A small place in Kazimierz with a unique atmosphere and a creative approach to breakfasts. Ideal for people who like to discover less obvious addresses. Recently, Ranny Ptaszek turns into Nocny Marek in the evenings. A similar solution can also be found in Hiru/Yoru.
Poranki
A popular spot serving breakfast all day long. Good coffee, pleasant interiors, and a menu where everyone will find something for themselves.
For Coffee and Something Sweet
Karma Coffee Roasters
One of the most recognizable specialty coffee shops in Kraków. Great coffee and a calm atmosphere.
Café Lisboa
If you like Portuguese pastel de nata, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

PRZEŁOM - Listening Cafe Bar
One of the most original places that have appeared recently in Kraków. Here you can enjoy good coffee or a drink and listen to carefully selected records. The place has a unique vibe and definitely stands out from typical cafes.
Apollca Café
A very interesting concept and one of those places that are hard to confuse with any other. Intimate space, refined details, and an atmosphere that makes it easy to stay longer than planned. This is a great option for those looking for unconventional cafes beyond the most well-trodden path.
For Lunch or Dinner
Nolio
One of the most frequently recommended restaurants by Kraków locals. Excellent Neapolitan pizza, high-quality ingredients, and consistently high standards.
Karakter
A place with character – literally and figuratively. Unconventional flavor combinations and a unique atmosphere.
Zazie Bistro
Kazimierz at its best. French cuisine, atmospheric interior, and a place many people return to during every visit to Kraków.
Molám
One of the most interesting options for lovers of Asian cuisine. Pronounced flavors and a very refined menu.
Wschód Bar
One of our favorite places for those looking for something different from traditional Kraków gastronomy. Asian-inspired cuisine, great flavors, and a very distinctive vibe mean we regularly recommend Wschód to our guests. It’s a perfect option for an evening out with friends or dinner after a whole day of sightseeing in Kraków.
Bufet KRK
We have already written a separate article about Bufet, and not without reason. This place caught our attention from the very beginning with its original approach to cuisine and unique atmosphere. If you’re looking for a dinner you will remember long after returning from Kraków, it’s definitely worth having it on your list.
For a Special Evening
Bottiglieria 1881
One of the most famous restaurants in Poland. This place is for special occasions and culinary experiences at the highest level.
Fiorentina
An elegant restaurant located near the Main Market Square. A great choice for those seeking a more refined dinner.
In Kazimierz
Kazimierz itself is a gastronomic attraction of Kraków. Walking around this part of the city, you can find dozens of interesting venues, cafes, and bars.
Bazaar Bistro
If we had to point out one place in Kazimierz that perfectly captures the character of this part of Kraków, it would be Bazaar Bistro. Located right by Plac Nowy, it combines a restaurant, bakery, and wine bar. We like it for its relaxed atmosphere, great breakfasts, homemade bread, and a menu that changes with the seasons. This place works both for morning coffee and a longer evening over wine.

Our list is constantly growing
Kraków is changing very quickly. New restaurants and cafes appear regularly, so we treat this guide as a living project.
We update it continuously, add new places, return to old favorites, and check what is happening in the local gastronomic scene.
If during your stay in Kraków you discovered a place that delighted you – write to us. We would be happy to know your recommendation, and perhaps it will be included in the next update of our list.
Because the best recommendations come when we share them with each other.
