Bufet is the latest concept by Przemysław Klima – a two Michelin star winner and
owner of the cult restaurant Bottiglieria 1881.
The venue, located at Dajwór 8 Street in Kazimierz, has been electrifying Kraków foodies and visitors from around the world since its first announcements.
Bufet is a place for daily visits, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, while at the same time a relaxed and informal space where locality, seasonality and ecological products combine with culinary creativity.
Here, the tradition of Polish flavors meets a modern approach that is impossible to ignore. That is why it is worth visiting this place when in Kraków.
Why visit Bufet?
Bufet is a place we recommend to our guests at Tyzenhauz – and we ourselves gladly return here.
The venue is the perfect combination of a friendly atmosphere and high-quality cuisine,
reminiscent of gatherings around a table among friends. The restaurant's name is not accidental.
The creators wanted to evoke nostalgia and a family atmosphere while creating a space where every meal is a pleasant discovery.
At Bufet you will find both Polish classics in a new edition, as well as dishes combining traditional ingredients with international inspirations. The menu was created with local,
seasonal products in mind, from homemade bread with butter or lard, through Polish cold cuts and pickles, to modern appetizers such as blood sausage, beef tartare or grilled vegetables.
Main courses are dominated by meat options, but there are also seasonal dishes.
Vegetable sides can be chosen individually, and starchy dishes are served with fries with truffle mayo or mashed potatoes with bone marrow and tarragon.
For dessert, classic Polish treats await such as karpatka according to Mama Przemek Klima's recipe, sesame tart, ice cream, and Polish cheeses with rowan berries.
The chef and team guarantee quality
Bufet's kitchen is cared for by Jakub Kojder, who has been associated with Bottiglieria 1881 for years and co-created the restaurant's menu that earned the first Michelin star.
The team is complemented by manager Marta Kania, responsible for hospitality and efficient service,
making a visit to Bufet as pleasurable for the palate as it is for all the other senses.
Design and atmosphere
Bufet’s interior is a true feast for the eyes and senses. The design is by Metraż studio,
and the branding was developed by Tomek Pilch from Blürbstudio. The whole combines modern aesthetics with a friendly, informal character, creating a space full of life and energy.
Open kitchens allow observing the masterful work of the chef and the team, and comfortable seating at the bar encourages conversations and meeting other guests.
We appreciate every detail here, from natural materials, through subtle color accents, to the thoughtful arrangement of tables,
which makes both a quick lunch and a longer dinner with friends a unique experience. The atmosphere is elegant but never stiff,
feeling comfortable, relaxed, and attentive to aesthetics, making Bufet a place to return to not only for the food but also for the sheer pleasure of being in this interior.
Why do we recommend Bufet to our guests?
