High ceilings, a large brick wall, and massive wooden beams give this apartment a distinct loft character. Raw elements are balanced by white cabinetry, a light floor, and simple furniture. The most distinctive feature is the open mezzanine, making the whole space feel roomier than a typical studio.
The lower level has a living room with a sofa bed, TV, and a table for four. The kitchenette is discreetly placed under the mezzanine, so it doesn’t dominate the lounge area. Wooden stairs lead upstairs, where an open mezzanine houses a bedroom with a double bed. This layout suits couples, families, or up to four guests who appreciate open space and stairs leading directly to the sleeping area.
Guests also have access to a shared balcony in the form of a wooden gallery overlooking the green courtyard of the tenement. It’s a perfect spot to step out for coffee or relax outdoors away from direct street noise.
The kitchen includes a cooktop, fridge, kettle, toaster, and tools for simple meal preparation. The apartment also has a bathroom with a shower, TV, internet, wardrobe, hairdryer, and iron.
The 50 m² apartment is located at 16 Józefa Sarego Street in the center of Kraków. It’s about 400 meters from Wawel and Kazimierz, and roughly 600 meters from the Main Market Square, allowing a morning walk to the city and easy midday returns for a break.
Breakfast can be added to the stay at the nearby café Bussola Coffee. This is a place we love and often return to. Various breakfasts are available.
The Tyzenhauz reception and luggage storage are a few hundred meters away in the neighboring building at 16 św. Sebastiana Street. Luggage can be left there before check-in or after check-out.
In the same building at 16 Józefa Sarego Street are also the apartments Sarego 2, Sarego 3, Sarego 4, Sarego 5, Sarego 6, Sarego 7 and Sarego 9. In the neighboring building at 15 Józefa Sarego Street is Sarego 1. This allows larger families or groups to book several apartments close to each other with separate spaces.
